My goal with this post is to evoke that nostalgic feeling of being in the same bus on a school trip and then help you reflect a bit. I am sure you can share a thousand stories about what fun you used to have on that bus and what used to happen at the back seat (yes we all know what used to happen – right?).
This starts with an announcement of Ngwane Central High School, in Zombodze as the grand prize winners of a high school entrepreneurship competition. Sponsored by Junior Achievement, this course culminated in a national competition and “top 10” convention in which the grand prize was announced. This video (2009) shows the moment they won, and how they reacted.
On a different note, the video made me think about how important it is to enjoy every step of your life. Often times we live our lives in the future and forget to late every day experiences simmer. Good or bad they are meant to mold us into fully developed human beings that can add real value to society. If I could turn talk to my 15 year old self, there is a lot I can tell her not to fret about; I would say that pimple does not matter that much.
I would tell my 21 year old self that it’s okay even if you feel like you don’t fit in. I would go on to tell my 23 year old self there are more boys to meet – don’t cry so much over him. I would tell my 26 year old self not to worry about getting married because it will happen when it happens
Anyways, here is the video below. Hope it makes you ponder as much as it made me.
